Rambutan

Getting Exotic.

You don’t need to travel to the other side of the world to try one of the most exotic fruits in the world, we bring it to you directly from Guatemala and Honduras. This peculiar fruit belongs to the same family as the lychee and offers incredible benefits for our body. It is small, oval, and very, very sweet, somewhat resembling grape pulp. Its flavor is very fresh, juicy, and slightly acidic. On its outer side it has a thin layer of reddish hue covered with “hairs”. Because of its appearance, rambutan is also known as hairy lychee.

how to eat

  1. Choose them ripe so you can experience their full potential and flavour.
  2. Wash your rambutans very well before eating them.
  3. To eat this fruit, remove the outer part of the rambutan, that is, the part with “hairs”.
  4. You can use a knife to cut the skin in half without going through the flesh, but your fingernails or even your teeth will work just as well, and remember not to eat the seeds.
